Here goes.

1) They are sponsored by WAITROSE. Not cool, although the pies in the ground are quality.

2) On the teamsheets, it has after the substitutes 'The Reading Fans' as an extra man. How w**k is that.

3) The roadworks on the M4 exit junction 11 have been going on for several years. Only a slight exaggeration.

4) They make new players stand on a chair and do an initiation song. Andy Griffin did 'She'll be coming round the mountain' this summer. Gayer.

5) If it's raining and you've missed the bus, it's a bloody long walk back to the station.

You could say the same about the Goldstone or Falmer though.

As I mentioned earlier, there was a really broken-down old stadium right next to Elm Park that served very nicely.
