I saw that bloke in hawaiian kit - what was actually said ?

Or the gist if too offensive for the net.

I'd rather not post it on here. Some blatant swearing into the female steward's ear (while she was talking to Trigger), then re-worded a chant we were singing with some disgraceful racist shite.

Rougvie - I will fully support you in whatever action you take, appearing as a witness if you need it. To confuse you with him is a complete joke, only not at all a funny one.

There really isn't any need for racialist chants now days.

We'll all back you if need be Rougvie, but I should think if the policeman knows what happened it is hopefully just an unfortunately annoying incident.

Gold range stewards are generally shite. I went to a 'recruitment session' for them once at borough jobshop while i was a studnet. Basically anyone whos been on the dole for more than a few months has to go along a join up or else they have their benefits stopped. So you can imagine the standard of personel that show up.

Anyone remotely competant signs up to get trained for the Door Supervisers badge, where upon they leave to work on the pub doors in the west end. Then the srcoungers get themselves disiplined or such so they can go back to the sausage roll. Whats left is a bunch of power trippers. One friend of mine stuck at it for about 3 months as a supervisor (already had a door licence) but left because she got fed up having to deal with the crap that came from these people picking on people cause they had a bit of authority.

Also there was one rather cute looking dark haired WPC at the game today. I clocked her on the way out and she appeared to be giving me the eye...You cannot blame her, she was not made of wood and her eyes aren't painted on. After passing her we waited close to the exit into the road as one of our party was having a piss, she then walked pass and again stared at me with her cute smile. Can't wait to go back for the league game.

Sounds like the cutie that was stood near us.

She was flirting outrageously with the male copper she was with and they had a little "scuffle" during the second half, slapping each other with their hats!

I am still very angry by yesterdays events.

We were treated like shit by those stewards, and Rougvie did nothing wrong. I presume he will get banned for being ejected.

I cannot believe they managed to stage a Premiership game at Loftus Road yesterday, but could not cope with a few thousand Brighton fans.

I am going to write some letters of complaint when I have sobered up.

Well, depends whether you consider anti English chants racist or not.

We were in a corporate box on the half way line and the catering in that area was superb..

on the subject of stewards though, in the second half when they all came round the pitch and sat inside the perimiter wall, one guy right in front of us actually fell asleep. He had his hood pulled right down and his head was flopping all over the place.

One of the qpr fans actually shook him awake.. and he's there to ensure our safety!!!

Or anti-Welsh chants for that matter.

Personally, I don't believe such 'abuse' falls into the same category as the stuff you are talking about here, but then I don't indulge in either anyway.

Rougvie's treatment at QPR sounds dreadful. To my mind, stewards are given way too much power at matches these days, especially considering that a large percentage of them are so clueless.

It's also disturbing to hear that the guy who was giving out the racist abuse apparently got away with it. A very sad state of affairs.

Was joking LB although I know that we've been accused of being racist for making anti Welsh comments in that past.

I'm with the Bluebird on anti-Welsh / anti-English chants. As an ex-Newport boy, I don't do them.

But I still think it's mildly funny to hear Brentford supporters chanting "You're Welsh and you know you are" at Telford.

Or Carlisle supporters telling us we're French and we know we are.

Yes but we were telling them that they were Scots.

Seems to me that some stewards need reminding that we are PAYING CUSTOMERS, and that THEY are there to serve US, and ensure our safety. Its not much use just moaning on here about crap stewards who don't know the seating policy, aggressive stewards who "nick" the wrong fella, and the usual rude/obnoxious ones who are just on a power trip. These grievences should be brought to the attention of the Safety Officer at QPR, and if the response isn't satisfactory, then I'd make a complaint via Martin Perry, and ask him to write to someone in authority at the club.

I wasn't at the game yesterday, but like everyone else here, I've been to numerous away games where the stewarding has been an absolute joke, and where rudeness and ignorance seems to be part of the job requisite. Someone has to answer for these yobs they put in bibs, so I'd urge anyone upset at their treatment yesterday to write and demand some answers.

Yes. I even pointed this out to the main steward involved; that he knew he was risking more racial abuse at his colleagues by letting someone stay, who we had told him was dishing it out. He just replied "Well if we hear him, we'll do something".

The stewards have a responsibility to assist public safety. We spoke to 3 who did not speak English. At least they shook their heads when asked if they did. We had been trying to ask if the upper tier would be opened as things were beginning to escalate and we had children with us.

A fourth told us it wouldn't yet people were pouring into an area where all seats were taken and people were standing in exit areas and aisles.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
QPR Yesterday - An update !

OK, havent been able to post what exactly happened to me yet because I have been busy this morning but I think Trigger pretty much summed it up with the initial post.

Suffice to say when we were making our way to the upper deck due to the fiasco of other people sitting in our seats (incidently I was trying to calm everyone down) I was pulled up by 3 stewards and taken to one side, the two policemen who had followed us also stopped and at that time were bemused as to why.

I was told by a very very aggresive head steward for that part of the ground that I had been seen by another steward verbally abusing a black steward and singing offensive songs, you can imagine my extreme frustration and was trying to put my case across when one of the coppers interveined and told the steward that it was DEFINATELY not me as he had been standing behind me, the :jester: started arguing with the copper saying that his information was 100% correct and that I had reduced a girl to tears, he then continued to argue with the copper and told him that his decision was final and that I was going, the copper shook his head and tried to even get his boss on the radio, as apparently only he could have overturned the decision of the steward, which in itself is terrifying !

The two coppers actually appologised to me, before I was manhandled by the original :jester: out of the ground. He then pulled out a Digital Camera and took my picture, by this time I was telling him to f*** off, and told me that I was A KNOWN troublemaker and that I would be banned from Loftus for life.

At this point coppers in a van outside asked me to get in the back 'to calm me down' they radioed their mate inside as I had given them the p.c. number who confirmed the story, I was in the back of the van for about 20 minutes, when they asked me what I was goin g to do, I told them I would probably have a wander around Tesco's which totally cracked them up. They gave me a lift to The Walkabout where I had a rather nice plate of Nachos and watched the Man C game - really aggresive racial beheviour.

FACT 1 - At no time did I make any Racist comments about anyone, for f*** sake my mother is half indian and I have many black and asian friends. I also had about 5 witnesses to that.

FACT 2 - I do admit to singing offensive songs, as I tried to start a chorus of 'Theres only one David Lee' !!

FACT 3 - I have never been thrown out of an Albion game, or arrested in my entire life, its bad enough being branded a racist, let alone being told that I am KNOWN troublemaker.

The steward was totally looney tunes and should never be allowed to have any authority ever again at a football match, I will probably get nowhere with it, but I am following this through as in this day and age you cannot just brand someone a racist with no evidence to back it up

Today, I have been in contact with both QPR and The Police, as I have made an official complaint to QPR, about the steward.
I have just had a phone call from QPR to say that no action is being taken against me in respect of any ban and that in the light of what information they have, they will investigate the matter further.

They also added that any didital image of me taken (unauthorised) by the steward would be destoyed.

Cheers to Fatboy, Artois, Trig and Hampshire and anyone else who fought my corner, by all accounts you almost got chucked out yourselves for trying to help me, so a big thanks.

I think the motto of this tale is give them an Orange coat and na bit of power and they think they are f***ing god !!

Maybe you should write to QPR and say that unless you receive a complete apology you will take legal action for deformation ? There must be some avenues that you can persue,
