There is a nest box on the new chimney. Peregrines breed every year. A Peregrine was seen there a few days ago.
Hawks hovering by roads are Kestrels.
Black Redstarts are found all along the coast, including the New Monks Farm area. They quite like development sites. They began to spread after World War II, favouring bomb craters and demolished partially derelict areas like harbour wharves.
