A statement that is patently untrue given Gus's statement in the argus that we discussed one last summer and again 3 or 4 months ago and Murray's assertion to his palace fan friend (who I know) that an offer in january was in his agent's opinion, 'derisory'.

I imagine it was dismissed as derisory leading to him being told the bit I heard that it would be looked at in the summer when we knew what league we would be playing in.

Come off it, as a journalist you speculate on what you hope might happen and then get very smug about the odd occasions you get it right. It's okay but the expression 'Serious Journalism' is something of an oxymoron.
