The interest is in the detail.

Beer Clear (thats a company that comes in and cleans all the beer lines in bars etc). Owed £460.
Bookers Cash & Carry £221 (Harrys sneaky whisky in his desk drawer ?)
Carlsberg £1,039
Carol Moore Florists £995 (some of Avrams ladyfriends on the estate ?)
Bransbury Park Butchers £629
British Telecom £1,335
Carpets & General Cleaning Ltd £792 (after sweeping all these debts under them)
Coastal Nets Ltd £126 (presumably their goalnets needed replacing due to the number they were letting in)
Concorde Club Hotel £7,558 (nice night out for the players ?)
Chartwell Doors Ltd £402 (replacement for the dressing room one being booted in)
Christie Intruder Alarms £152 (Hah - as if there's anything worth nicking there)
County Caterers Ltd £128,440

I could look through this all day.

See if you can find the one that is a code for 'Untraceable offshore fund, owed £50m, and definitely wanting to vote to only get 40pence of it back'.

Hire of facilities [G3 pitch], I 'spect.

Similarly then, they also owe King Edward VI School an eye-watering £41,714. Bet that punched a hole in their budget.
So you have underfunded schools trying to bridge the gap by hiring out their facilities, and then you get Pompey coming along and totally ripping them off.

Good effort.

Exactly... £17m out of £60m would have given HMRC the ability to reject an 8p in the £ offer... surprise surprise the total debt has suddenly risen to £120m.

:nono:

That hadn't really occurred to me, but it would make perfect sense to artificially inflate the debt so that HMRC are below the 25% threshold of total owed. They've been making aggressive noises all along that they want 100p in the £ or they'll issue a winding up order. Looks like Pompey can now dodge this and get away with a few pennies in the £.

Surely this has to be properly audited so they have to provide documetary PROOF of these debts outstanding ?

Being an avid concert goer, well done on the 2nd one!

Saying that, how do you owe a ticket agency money as they collect all the money to start with?

You must have to pay them some kind of premium to have them selling / distibuting your tickets though. I doubt they'll be dealing with Pompey any more though.

States in the first lot of pages that Ticketmaster are continuing with selling tickets on behalf of the club so they mustnt be too unhappy with the amount owed, perhaps they think they`ll get it back eventually?? List of creditors is astounding, and it just shows up the twat fans who come on here from palace saying going into admin doesnt hurt anyone, `kin hell it does!!

Not that I am defending Pompey here, BUT, the company was trading when these debts were being incurred.

Yes OK, it subsequentloy transpires that they couln't pay these debts as their owners hadn't the funds.

they are no different to many many clubs...lets face it, if it wasnt for Bloom and the directors, we would be in exactly the same position. This is how football clubs work. If bloom was to suddenly lose all his money on the turn of a card, how long do you think our list of creditors would be? we also use the services of St John's etc.

The earth
on Sky news they have spoken to one creditor who is saying that they have to choose from a list of peole to represent them at the meeting with the Administrators and that they are not personally invited. Also one of the creditors an agent who is owed money has apparently told Sky news he is not owed anything.... Makes you wonder if they are deliberately overinflating their debts to reduce HMRC's say in the meeting

This is Leeds all over again and the football authorities seem happy to sit back and watch it happen. Perhaps it is time self regulation was ended and a formal independant regulator appointed to oversee football's finances in this country.

So what are we all suggesting here, that all companies should trade without incurring debts?

How does that work?
