Players knackered for the Palace game?

Four games in ten days now:

Leicester City away
Liverpool Home
Leeds Home
Palace Home

Tough run to go into the Palace game on. Bit of squad rotation needed I suspect.

yeah I'd be suprised if the odd player didn't get given a rest , and to be honest ... I would want a fair few players rested for the Liverpool game

it would be brilliant to beat them , but the leagues FAR more important.

No harder than the 8 games we had to play in March. At least most of the squad have a two week break now to prepare for it.

Isnt it Bristol City on 10th and Leicester on 17th which makes it even harder.

Yep you're right. Now amended. Which makes it worse. If you throw in a full on match with the possibility of extra time against Liverpool we are going to be knackered by the big game with Palace.

The level is much much harder though and more intense. And let's be honest we had some luck in that run with a few one nils.

True but with luck, better pitches and hard work we can do it. As I already pointed out we have a two week break for most of our players to prepare for it.

Can we stop looking like we're making excuses already for if we lose please?

Palace look like they're selling Zaha and Ambrose before the windows closes, they need the money.

Not really that, just knowing Gus it will inevitably mean fielding a slightly weaker team in one or two of these.

Just hope he gets the priority right as we want to be at our strongest for Palace.

The Leeds game might be switched. Liverpool playing on the Sunday so they might ask for the game to be played on the Wednesday and Brighton won't want to play on the Wednesday as it's only two days before the Leeds match. Away to Ipswich 4 days after the Palace game.

If the Leeds game stays on Friday night we have an extra days rest over Palace who play on the Saturday so no excuses at all

Surely every other team still in the cup has the same number games? The players will just have to step up to the plate. Every season there are periods of the season where the games come thick and fast. It's the same for all teams. Just deal with it. England football fans excel in preoccupying themselves with nonsense issues like this, especially at international tournaments when it really comes to the fore; there is concern about altitude, balls being too round, climate or the crushing isolation of being in a hotel for a few weeks. Winners adapt and deal with it, losers bleat.
