Would be an excellent signing if we can get him.
Defensive midfielder with an eye for goal (over 50 league goals for Argyle), good set piece specialist and potential captain too - sign him up!!

We need one because El Abd is an AVERAGE defender and LIMITED midfield player...

 Thought he filled the roll quite well from what very little i get to see?

Must have sneaked a peek when he was having a better moment then:lolol:

The only bit about him that worries me is last years knee injury. How well has it healed?

Since when has El-Abd ever been a hardman?

Thats very true.He has been disgracefull sometimes when someone raises there hands and him falling to the ground in agony, clutching his face.

To be fair that pisses me right off. No need for it in the modern game (unless you are dirty leeds or manure)

I was trying to think of any other players who had joined the Albion from Plymouth and could only come up with one, Garry Nelson, he didn't disappoint in any respect.
You mean you've forgotten Walter Cook, signed from Plymouth as a goalkeeper in August 1924, for £400? He made 55 appearances for us.

And Mike Everitt, who cost us £2,500 in 1968? To say nothing of Ernie Machin? - £30,000 in 1974.

I'm not sure if Russell Osman (1995) counts, since he didn't actually play a game for Argyle, but joined us from them.

Has his good points and one of them from what little i see is being a bit harder than Fraser and Thompson

Why, beacause he's bald and has a sharp face?

AeA dosen't back out of tackles from what i have seen though!

Very few players do. It's going in for the challenges where your likely to get hurt that makes players "hardmen" because it's either not your ball to win and you may end up hurting the oppostion player, or, you come in for the tackle from an outrageous position.
