There is more chance of him making a triumphant return to his spiritual home, The Mount.

I think that he would be an ideal squad member if we could get him on a seasons loan.

The fact that plays for Crystal Palace and realises he would be better off by joining us is an added bonus not to be sneared at.

Just chuckling at Charlton
Do you know why has he's been transfered listed SJLM - ie: is it just the fitness issue or something else?

Yes Alex that is the crux of the matter, I have never known a player to be continually injured like Ifill, he plays an hour and then seems to be out for 2 months (i kid you not) with an occurring hamstring problem. He isn't the fittest looking footballer i have ever seen either always seems to be carrying a bit of timber, although that is probably because he is always laying on his backside on the physio's table!

In all seriousness it is a real shame because i rate him as a player and was well pleased when we signed him, but he is on top money at Palace and i just think Warnock has lost patience with him, but if and it is a huge if he can sort this injury out then i think he would be a good signing for someone. Alas i don't think Brighton could match his wages, but as they say funnier things have happened.

Starting a revolution from my bed
If think Micky will be well aware that Paul is available, whether we can meet his demands remains another matter, but a loan deal seems a good option, I think he would pick us over most clubs that would be prepared to gamble on him.

Not another Kitson thanks.

Also if we were going to splash that sort of money on transfer fee & wages it could be spend better than Sicknote, just because he supports / once supported Brighton it doesn't mean we need to sign him.

I would actually think this is a possibility. Because Ifill is definitely the player we need in midfield. And also supports us, and lives here so I think this could happen.

Stumbling blocks would be....

A/ Us showing interest
B/ Pala*se wanting to loan out or almost give away their player.
C/ Well there is no C because A & B were so bloody good. :)

A/ He supports us, and lives here. So I'm sure he would be very happy to come here.

B/ Probably won't give him to us.

C/ Well I can't actually think of one. But Simon Jordan is a wanker.
