I went in the Homesdale end in 1979, with about 25 pals.

We had joy we had fun.........

I remember a few lads being escorted up the pitch after a few shernannigans in the Holmesdale end before the match kicked off, and we were all singing "We're proud of you , we're proud of you........................"
I take it you was one of these lads........??:lolol:

Only Milwall ever took the Holmesdale your entry was all in vain. Palace on the other hand entred the Whithorse and gave you a good run for your money in the late 70`s by all accounts. To young me to have partcipated in such childish behaviour.

That was it, I was suprised we didn't get kicked out. A big hole developed around us, no-one touched us & we just walked up to the white horse end.
I was a bit pissed after a good session in a pub called The Albion in Norwood High St, which we always used back then.

I am of course thoroughly ashamed of my immature behaviour!

Could have been, we had t-shirts made up down the pier with "we hate palace" on the front. We all took our green bomber jackets with orange lining off at the same time to reveal the slogan then chanted "The Albion".

Happy days, brings a tear to my eye!! :clap2:
