Painter handing his shirt to a Brummy (?) fan after the match seemed to cause a scuffle in the home fans. Police involved and two middle aged men lead away. Anyone else see it?

yes, it all seemed to be good natured with Painter making a bee-line to a guy with a young kid. As he walked up the steps some trouble started.

He got a great round of applause from their fans when his name was announced at the beginning of the match which was great and all power to them.










He got an even bigger round of applause when he fell flat on his arse in the middle of one of their attacks though

The bloke he gave it to had had a kid in his arm whilst giving us gay taunts during the game. Not sure what started the agro but saw him getting escorted out by the police.

I saw Painter give his shirt to bloke in home end and then saw a steward try to take it off him. Then there was a scuffle and two men were taken away. I can understand if they were flaunting the shirt but steward could have told to put it away. Quite embarrassed that women referred to as a 'slapper' could have been friend or family of Painter!

Not his missus she's a Brighton lass. But i believe our fans were abusing a member of Painters family.

The stewards' gaffer, a big guy in a suit, cam down to have a word with the younger( and bigger) of the two blokes with the shirt. There was a bit of jostling and then the stewards got heavy-handed and about four of them grabbed bloke. The older bloke protested and the got dragged away too. The woman in the white then walked uo the terrace close to use, throwing v-signs all the way up. I thought the initial approach was because they must have gone through the stewards cordon to get to the edge of the pitch to get the shirt (and have their photo taken by the 'woman inwhite').
We are getting good off-field entertainment this season!

Then guy who Painter gave the shirt to was his cousin. The slapper in the white was the cousins girlfriend. The scuffle was between the cousin and one of his mates who was trying to calm him down. They came out as we were leaving so we got it from the horses mouth, so to speak.

We should be more careful who we pick on in future!

The older of the two guys - with the woman in white - was sitting with the baby on his lap after the final whistle went when the suited steward came down and had a fairly forceful word with him. Almost as soon as he finished Painter came over and gave his shirt to one of the stewards on the pitch and pointed out the two guys who by then had come down to the front of the stand the steward handed the shirt to the older guy who held it in the air for a split second before turning to walk away when he was surrounded by stewards who made a grab for the shirt - obviously Painter fans too - the older guy passed it to the younger one who was dispossessed by a couple of the stewards, meantime the older guy was marched off by 3 or stewards.

The two questions I would have for the stewards is, if he was being told off for anything he said or gestured why didn't they tell him at some point during the game? and if they've still got Painter's shirt can I have it?

All in far more entertaining than the 90mins. that preceded it.

Me too, and that was quite late on. I just assumed some people were trying to re-create the Leicester "slapper in black" scenario.
