True, but Holroyd failed to score against League One opposition. Paris scored against Whitehawk. I think this lad may be worth a go but the constant belittling of Holroyd on NSC is getting a bit silly now. Deciding someone is clearly better after seeing some youth team matches in a youtube clip and a goal against Whitehawk is a little bit silly.

To be fair, Holroyd didnt score last night either, got taken off, and hasnt scored in pre-season against Sussex teams.

There is no evidence either way right now. You cannot judge a player on one match against Whitehawk and a youtube clip showing a bias selection of all the good things he has done. He gave away a penalty last night, who is to say he does not constantly give away free kicks and penalties? We don't know the answer to this. We don't know if he gives the ball away a lot because he tries to do too much with the ball. We basically don't know anything about him, yet the consensus on this thread is he is better than Holroyd. He may well be, and the reports from Grimsby sound good but no one on here can judge unless they have seen him play at senior level.

Im personally not saying he is better than Holroyd. Im saying i think he has shown as much potential, if not more? So why not sign him up and give him the chance to prove it?

Just watched the reserve highlights on seagulls player and was impressed from what i saw. Scored a nice header and also hit the bar with one, creates chances and brings other people into play.

He's definitely worth a punt......however.....he was a premiership reserve last season, so I would imagine his salary would be among our higher earners.That's probably why Hull and Burnley haven't followed up on the trials.

Think it must just be the camera or light or something, cos when he celebrates the goal, you can clearly see its him.
