Thought the Irish were shocking night. Really slow and boring to watch. Can't judge anybody on that showing. I took an Interest in the Norwich forward to see if he was worth a sneaky bid. Looks like a young Zamora.

Yep, crap........looked like a lower level championship game at best. So many poor touches, misplaced passes etc.

Adam Idah is going to be good - he's 19 and the job he was given tonight did not play to his strengths.

It was a poor game and the Irish performance was poor. While many of the players were rusty - that doesn't excuse the poor play from many of them. It is only his first game - but Kenny looked out of his depth. He was going on during the week about wanting pace - yet left one of the fastest players in the PL sitting on the bench until the last 10 or so minutes. On top of that - if you want to play a passing game then you need the best passers of the ball in the squad on the pitch - Brady and Molumby. James McCarthy did attempt to impose himself in midfield - but his passing was shockingly bad. It made no sense playing O'Dowda ahead of Long or Molumby. Connolly was good in fits and starts - but he was absent for long periods of the game. Ireland did threaten a bit more when Long and Brady came on, but while he was right to drop McClean, overall Kenny looks tactically inept. He will persist with a passing game - but he really needs Brady and Molumby in the team if he is going to do it.
