I think he cost us £100K and most if not all his salary will have been covered when out on loan so all-in-all a good deal

A potential £8 m for a defender not required by Btn is a great deal . That’s a decent profit .

Andy Naylor saying on Twitter that the deal for Ostigard with add ons achieved will be £10m. If that’s true we’ve done well there.

Fantastic but I imagine that a lot of the deal is made up of add-one. He’ll probably need 50 Norway caps etc.

Yes... like Norwegian media said a month ago.
Champions League qualification is usually the key to triggering a lot of add-ons as it has a lot of impact on the overall finances of a club.

Qualification for and progression in European competition isn’t beyond Napoli so a decent chance of some bonuses being achieved

On the face of it we’ve done well but if he turns out to be a £40m in a couple of years have we?
Think we might have rather brought him into the squad with a view to easing him into the team but don’t think he was prepared to sit on the bench waiting for his opportunity with us.

Depends how big the sell-on clause is.
And, yes, I think we've done well out of this. We're not going to eke out the maximum for every single player and sell them at the optimal time but, on the whole, our transfer activity has been excellent over the past three years.
