Our style will have him puffing and wear him out.
Ironically, he's only 30 and therefore too young (also too expensive) for our old boys' club.

As an aside, thought this was was interesting. Young players should be made to read this...

None on there for me, thanks (Barkley excepted, but he seems to have been taken already).

Do we really need more ageing players?
Surely Dunk, Gross, Milner, Veltman, Welbeck, Steele are enough?
Add in Solly and Webster to that list and surely we have enough experienced players to guide the youngsters?

Unless we're bringing in someone likely to start every game, I' m really not interested in helping another old-stager begin their decline into retirement.

Naylor has been fan-faring this move for quite some time now.

I suspect it’ll be announced in June sometime as it seems like a done deal.

It seems that there is a requirement for a centre-back come defensive midfielder in Hürzelerball. A player who can switch between both roles as and when the team require it.

RDZ tried to get Baleba playing this role once or twice but it clearly wasn’t a success. I could see someone like Henderson excelling in this position or even Emre Can.

We’ll probably find out in the next week or so.

I thought Baleba's best performances for us have been when RDZ used him as a sort-of libero. The home game against Brentford in December springs to mind.

Cue five pages of ancient iconic players being posted, including Michael Owen, in another 'hilario' NSC thread, then someone mentions Robert Codner, which leads to another 5 pages of 'hilario' fish related gags, and we all piss ourselves laughing.

Willian is out of contract would 100% take him although Im not sure he's known as a leader.

Johnny Evans would be great.....

What's Oxlade-Chamberlain upto nowadays? Besiktas, hmm.

Looking at the England squad in 2016 (where we got Welbeck, Milner and Lallana from), Henderson really is the obvious one.

Mentioned Emre Can to my lad - who then pointed out he strated the Champions League final and captains Dortmund🤣
