The Fatherland
Dan Ashworth £4.1m
Sacking Ten Hag and his staff £10.1m
Paying Amorim’s compensation £11m

Radcliffe - need to cut the sandwich/lunch budget otherwise we’re broke by November.

Yes, the lunches and staff on sub £50k per year are clearly the problem. What a cock.
Excellent way of putting it.

We live in a world where a professional footballer can train five times a week (if that), sit on the bench for a game, and take home £250k after tax.

Meanwhile, Doris making ends meet in the cafeteria gets laid off from her £20k a year gig.

We let this happen.
Who is 'we'?

All I can think of that I do that could accrue culpability is watch the Albion live and the EPL on the TV.
Offset by never forgiving or forgetting the 83 final.

Should I get my coat? ???

Brexit Jim has been spilling the beans again

Among the highlights

  • Name checking Onana, Hojlund, Casemiro, Antony and Sancho as being “not good enough”
  • Says the club will run out of money this year unless they take “unpopular decisions” (laying off some more cleaning staff probably)
  • Claims Ashworth left because of “a lack of chemistry”

Generally comes over as a bit of a whinger TBH. Still, nothing like a club working together in harmony, eh? What a basket case.
I mean, he's got a point...

But you wouldn't come out in public and say it about your own club's players if you were effectively their boss, would you?

Perhaps that dressing down will give the Man U players an extra percent of motivation to succeed...?

Unfortunately to actually compete in the PL they need an extra 50%...

Well I agree with most of that, but you'll have to explain who 'we' is, and how we let it happen. (And what we should have done differently to prevent it).

Exactly. I mean, pretty much all of us thought Jurgen Locadia was shite, but no way would it have been OK for Paul Barber to turn up on the BBC and say so directly

He's appeasing to fans and shareholders who all wants blood and change. Desperate attempt to deflect blame.

If they are so much in debt , how can they afford to Build a hundred thousand seater stadium
Because they’ll probably do it via another leveraged finance deal that ends up earning the Glazers millions.

The problem is, he hasn't realised that he is the Glazers desperate attempt to deflect blame, and it's not unsuccessful. He's been brought in to be the front-facing fall guy to make unpopular decisions to deflect from the Glazers mismanagement. He can't criticise the Glazers because he needs them.
