I'm pretty sure the vast majority of Africa will be backing Ghana. Brothers in arms and all that.

Surely its like saying all of Europe is behind the last remaning side.

My knowledge of African history is limited, but its quite a war torn place so I doubt all are.

Nah not true. When Africans speak of the nation they mean the African nation, not necessarily the nation state. Though this is less true now than in the decolonisation debates of the later twentieth centry it still applies. Especially true of Gold Coast, which became Ghana, through Nkrumah. Obviously more appropriate to Sub-Saharan Africa than the North.

Though seemingly a disgusting media cliche, it actually has some historical validity.

Ghana are much the better side from open play. Uruguay are dangerous from corners and free kicks though.

I hope nobody gets sent off and spoils the game. It will probably be a Uruguay player.

Suarez misses a good chance from open play created by Forlan. You have to put these sort of chances in to win these sort of games. A warning sign for Ghana who are losing concentration in defence.

Ghana are not pressurising Uruguay at the moment. It requires too much energy to keep it up for the whole game. I do not think there will be any subs as Ghana have not got the reserves.
