At last this be an interesting match, next to nothing is known about North Korea let alone it,s football. The world cup use to be more like the above fixture, however thanks to the Premier & Champions lge most players on display are almost household names.

North Korea have had to train at public facilities due to the fact that they are broke! If they keep the score down to a 3 goal loss they will have done well.

No pressure boys, but the Dear Leader has a special treat for you if you lose

Do you think the DPRK media will even tell the people there's been a game on if they lose?

Apparently there is no live coverage of the game in DPRK. They will only show the game(s) if the team put up a good display which honour their Great Leader.

Great press conference yesterday with the Koreans.

Hack: "Will North Korea be pursuing the same counterattack strategy they pursued in qualifying?"

Humourless coach: "I believe that we are the Korean DPR. So please do not use any other name for us".

The press also asked about the attempted scam in which Korea tried to squeeze an extra striker into their squad by naming him as one of their three permitted keepers. FIFA rumbled them and told them he is now only permitted to play in goal.

The Korean response:

"He was a striker and now he's registered as a goalkeeper. He is really a goalkeeper, but he's very fast, so we switched him to a striker. But this World Cup, he said he wanted to be a goalkeeper again"

I see this has now become the Official Thread: presumably clearance has been received from Pyongyang.
