i've nailed it, no vinegar required, get the water bubbling, spin the water with a spoon and drop the egg from as low as possible in the centre, reduce the heat a little so it's no longer bubbling, let it bubble up again, turn gas off and leave for a further minute (egg in water for about 2.3 minutes in total)

These get the job done, as nothing sticks to silicone it seems.

Fresh eggs from the back garden. Check
Put the eggs in their shell in the boiling water for a couple of minutes to stop too much spreadage. Check.

Mind you I also just bought two silicon thingies but havent tries them yet.

You must be a single man or never share breakfast with the Mrs. ? why ?because you can't do two eggs like that in the same saucepan at the same time.
