Also, going on what was said on the other thread - do the club know what Mrs Kelly is going to say?

i dont think the signing has got ANYTHING to do with that - the club are hardly likely to turn around and say "so nicky, falmer has been turned down, we are going out of business and it will be really nice if you join" are they?

the signing should keep us up this season, but i dont think it will turn us into a side that is capable of getting into the play-offs. when we had savage on form last season we still looked poor even with a player who was getting goals. despite the fact forster is in a different category, i cant see him being a man who is going to fire us to promotion, simply as none of our other strikers are really that good, and to get out of this league you realistically need two to get the goals

if we signed bowditch though, then that would be a different matter

I absolutely agree with this, yes I am very happy he has signed for us. But the only thing what worries me is that he is very injury prone.

Way out west
We have now effectively signed two players from Championship sides, who I believe can make a positive contribution to the squad and are better than what we already had...if that isn't a sign of ambition then what the hell is?

Great siging if he can stay fit....i always think he is a sicknote

Almost reminds me of the Kitson signing.....

I agree and 3 years is a long time in football.
If he can stay fit then wonderful news.

Kitson all over again imo

I cannot believe the negativity of some people on here (not just you). Forster played 35 games for Hull last year, nothing like Kitson who had played single figures in the season before signing for us. In the division above us he was also runner up in Hull's player of the year competition. I am really pleased with this signing especially considering Hull paid £250,000 less than a year ago!

Spot on

Don't see his age as a problem, look at Dean Windass who is still scoring shed loads at 38.

Good signing for me....couple more and we should be looking a decent side

Well said!

Even the likes of Yorkie (whose rose coloured albion specs are famous:D) has questioned this signing yet others have moaned for the last 2 years that we need an experienced striker.

Sometimes the stuff I read on here beggars belief :thud:

Not sure we have found our 20+ goals for the season, but he will be a bloody good asset in bringing experience into the front line where we need it. Bringing on the likes of Gatting and Elder
