I was commenting on IF we waited until after the World Cup, in no way suggesting we would….hence my comment about succession planning

I think we’re awaiting the completion of this round of European fixtures before approaching the respective candidates teams. Then I anticipate a decision by the middle of next week.

Looking back on TB's managerial appointments.
His first was Poyet, who had no previous record as a Manager.
Next Garcia, with 1 year in management at Maccabi Tel Aviv
Then Hyppia with 2 years at Leverkusen.
Then Hughton with 4 and a half at 3 English clubs.
Then Potter with 8 years total, 7 years at Ostersunds and 1 year at Swansea. excluding semi pro experience at Leeds Uni.

If this pattern continues we are looking for a manager with 16 years experience with 3 or 4 different clubs.

You're right.. that narrows it down a bit. No wonder the new bloke hasn't arrived yet.

Well, now I have something to do tonight...

I’d really like Christian Streich. He has done incredible things at SC Freiburg.

Bit misleading regarding CH, he'd been coaching/managing for 17 years before he came to us!!!

Text from a livelong supporter and connected mate.

Not sure about that. My cat shook its head when I mentioned it.
