The question asked who you'd vote for not who you think will win. I'd say Obama for the former and McCain for the latter.

I agree with Gareth, 6-4 looks a decent bet in a two-horse race.

Apart from the fact that we jump as high as the Americans tell us to do,to OVERsimplify the US political scene , think Republicans - Tories, Democrats - Labour/LibDems.

So I'm in the don't care camp,as we will be jumping whatever.

Who do I want? Obama

Who will we get? Mccain

No brainer..... democrats have been damaged by their infighting. Republicans will say democrats have got a lame duck candidate who only just scraped through election. Plus wish it wasn't true but US is not ready for a non-white president... remember the majority of people in the US are blue collar and /or rednecks.

We could have another dubious quality MP in Vauxhall if our old friend gets selected over Hoey..

Who are you referring to?

Interesting point, but the US also has 40 years or so experience of handling positive "the race card". I would expect the Democrats have the plans to promote Obana.

Lets not forget how few americanns actually vote, isn't it less than half of US voters eligible to vote, actually register to vote.

Obana has shown he can raise $500m just for the Party nominee, how much support will he generate in the Presidential run off.

Every Black and radical politician will be out, lets not forget, the last time around the Democrats I believe got more votes and don't forget the rigging of Florida, which gave Bush the Presidency.

Obana will target the states he and Hilary will will win, as along as he gets more than McCain, he won't care about re necks not voting for him.

Last time around Bush got 58mil, Kerry 55mil(or something like that...)

Regardless of Florida, it was 2000 where Gore got more votes than Bush and lost, even in the official results.

Not a fan then?:lolol:

She is the MP north of our area, I am in Hackney South. But her area literally stops metres away.

She is so in it for herself.

Considering the poverty, problems of Hackney she does nothing to promote the area, she done nothing for the schools apart from taking her child out of the local system and sticking him in a private school.

Socialist my arse.

And the number of people we know who have gone to her for support and she done nothing is trully amazing.

To put it softly, she is a ******* disgrace.

Sorry mate, got my years wrong, Florida was also 2000. But your figures show how close it was last time.

I believe this time, and from, these shores that we now have two better candidates.

I applaud your optimism and hope u r right but remember very well that in the last election central US and southern US voted en masse for Bush. That's military blue collar country. This election we have a republican in better political health than Bush was, a black democrat contender who dragged himself across the finishing line (or at least it can be spun that way) and one who already has shit sticking even before the Republicans have got their big machine going.

After Clinton, those states who rely on military employment are 1000% behind the Republicans and McCain speaks their language.

Clinton could have won...much as I hate her ... a bad democrat was better than a Republican.

I don't doubt that you are right, its basically how many of those states (Military) McCain will win and possibly easily, but that doesn't really matter, againgst the ones, Obana's "presence" with the young and black that he will win, that were previously marginals.

There is NO chance whatsoever of the USA electing a Black president. It will not happen. Nothing to do with politics this one.

Sadly I think you're spot on there. I have a feeling that more people will vote in this election than for some time if ever though.

Its was funny watching the BBC whip its self up into PC frenzy. OOOOOOOooh a Blackman.

When Enoch Powel said the Black man would hold the whip hand over the whiteman he probably meant in psycological terms of the political left

Obama will lose because race wont go away because the left wont shut up about it, its like political crack cocaine to them. They have a PC god to whoreship now and it will just focus normal peoples attention on him not being "One of us" and his flakey foriegn policy stance.

Nelson Mandela got the same race worship treatment, his acheivements were in any sane measurement no greater than Lech walensa or Vaclev Havel.

Let me clear the fog from your eyes you leftist spazzes.

It dont matter how much you cheer the black man it will neither absolve your Guilt for any percieved past crimes or spare your neck more than any other whiteman in any future race war. Yep two dubious concepts but I hope I make my point. This racial idolatry may be derigure for every Gaurdian reading goof at the BBC but most other people will either be turned of by it or will tire of it including swing voters.

In fact if I have to put up with this religous cheerleading for the next 6 months I may start hoping that some deranged Klukker puts a bullit in him.

Dont get me wrong here theres a lot to like about Obama, if he changes some foreign policies to nearer McCain then hes in with a chance as well as keeping the hildabeest at arms length.

Oh and it is McCain who is the Anti-establishment candidate.

The Simpsons election. Home V Lenny.
