I have booked to stay in the Newmarket Inn on the A27 for Sheff Wed game. Does anyone know if walking to the Amex is feasible from there and if so how long it takes?

it's only about a mile isn't it? highly feasible given that plenty off people walk from the centre of brighton and the centre of lewes.

I would say it will be decidedly dodgy trying to walk in the dark longside the dual carriageway, I'd book a taxi if I was you, alternatively I'm sure somebody coming from the East and parks at the ground could pick you up if you asked on here.

Thanks. Is there a footpath or is that walking along the hard shoulder of the A27?

There's a long lay by initially that brings you to a bridge where the South Downs Way crosses the A27. From the other side of the bridge, the old road takes you most of the way to Falmer, but I can't remember what the last little bit does!

theres a footpath all the way, on the other side unfortunatly. quick google map shows theres a designated crossing path near the pub.
