Personally I think it's a horrible expression, and I cringe when people use it in a football context ("he's got the touch of a rapist" etc), so I'm stunned to think Pardew would come out with it on MOTD.

But an apology is fine, I don't necessarily think he should get the boot because of it...I think he should get the boot because he's an arse.

And now this week Lee Dixon's at it - he's used the word "Jaded" at least twice. In such bad taste, today of all days!

It will be interesting to see what happens to Pardew.

This quote reminds me of Ian Wright's half-time gaffe when we were 3-0 up aginst Denmark in the World Cup 2002:

"Sven must be CREAMING himself..."

BBC turned a blind eye to that which, pound for pound, I think is worse than Pardew's use of "raped".
