Cool
So having the 7th best defence and the 12th best goal difference, with the worst game management..
The problem isn't game management?

Thanks for clearing that up

So our defence just need to cut out that sloppy "game management", maybe concede 10 less goals and we'll move up the table?

You do realise Man Utd finished 2nd and conceded just 2 goals less than us, Liverpool 3rd with just 4 goals less conceded?

Our defence was so fantastic that Arsenal bought part of it for £50 million, Spain and the Netherlands took 2 more to the Euros with the remainder knocking on the door of the England team.

I think our defence is excellent, I'm not arguing that point.

What is the most important factor in final table position?

a) Goals scored?
b) Goals conceded?
c) Points awarded?

We had the worst stats in the league for failing to see out games.
That isn't a comment on our defenders, as the issue was actually across the whole team, not from defensive howlers.
More frequently we sat increasingly deeper and gave the opposition more of the ball.

My point is that we can (and will) improve in multiple areas next season.
Game management is every bit as important as finishing,

We won't get into the top half just by scoring more goals.
We will need to control games better too.

Like I said up top, should be a multi-choice poll. And IMHO strongly disagree, you CAN'T leave Bloom out of this. All these people sucking off TB's teat are playing by TB's rules and to TB's budget. Would be just silly to suggest otherwise

Obviously.

Bloom refuses to play the huge wages for game-changers that CP, WHU and Villa do.

Instead attempting a financially cute game. Relying on CH then GP as alchemists to keep us up with the next level down of forwards.

His money, his toy, his call.

But such a tight affair every March/April/May. Unenjoyable for much of the time to be honest.

Last season we were just a quality finisher away from gaining a stack of wins like Leeds.

Unfortunately Benham has the Moneyball algorithm for Strikers and Bloom has the one for Centre backs and midfielders.
