If Dave says it then it shouldn't be dissed. He is the epitome of the Cheshire set soccerball player though...I would expect him to get a nosebleed if he had to move south of Alderley edge. Hasn't he got a racing stable and gallops in his back yard?

Probably worth a sly tenner in the morning.

he clearly feels the need to follow in the footsteps of another great Liverpool figure, Jimmy Tarbuck

My source says Stoke are currently favourites, but it's not a done deal, Michael is going to wait around 3 weeks before deciding.

Location is his main criteria, so those of you thinking he will sign for a southern club are mental.

Stoke would be a good call for him in terms of the aforementioned business interests he has in the north west. I think Wigan would suit his particular style more though.

I thought he said that he was only interested in signing for a Premiership team this coming season, only a week or so ago ???

He is a gambling man knowing what he said would push the odds on him signing to 10/1 he sticks 100k on signs a year contract everyone's a winner

Why the f*** would he sign for us when he can play fairly regular football at 4x the wage for any bottom half Premiership team.
GET REAL!!

Ask Vicente that...

Meanwhile, I do agree that he won't come.

Sorry I didn't think to re-mention the points that he owns stables and horses up north so management of that would be near-impossible. Also he has stated multiple times he wouldn't drop down a league. Again I didn't feel the need to highlight these facts as they have been posted above.
Also, I doubt Vicente had as many issues as Owen about joining BHA.
He's said it's not going to happen so let's all move on.

"The Championship is not an option," he said. "I'd like to think I haven't lost the ability to score goals at the highest level."
Oh la de da.
But it's good enough for Drogba.
Someone needs a reality check.

lets be honest, we couldn't afford the wages that he would demand.

How long do you think Bloom is going to bank roll everything without asking for a penny back? I mean with the Stadium, training facilities, stadium upgrade, players, wages etc he must of dipped his hand in to his pocket for £150m. At some point he will require some ROI. I f***ing know i would......

i can see our dip in to the transfer market being more of a paddle than a dip, and i cannot foresee any big names like Owen etc

He lives not far from me in Northop (Flintshire) not Cheshire.

Which is exactly the same as what i have been told. He wont go far from Tom Dascombe's yard where horses are and he is now more interested in than football.

He is not coming here.
