I'd vote for you as well Ed. Unfortunately I am in Mid-Sussex.

Even though it's a different council I am voting on the ABLD (Anyone but Liberal Democrat) ticket.

It's usually between Lib Dems and Conservatives up here. I might even vote Tory!!!!

I have passed on my views to my son who has his first vote!

Probably as one of my very good friend is prospective Conservative Councillor for South Portslade and an avid fan ( for more than 30 years) and a STH no less.

if you don't bother to vote, is your 'no' vote counted as a vote for the party that is already in place?

Yes although I can't vote for my husband as he is standing in the neighbouring ward.

I'll be voting Labour. There is a real danger the Tories might win the COUNCIL and I'm not having that.

Ah, he's like our prime minister then, can't vote for himself.

We're hoping it might be an embarassing 0 votes here for Bertie :jester:

Yes he can but he's standing in Meeching & Denton ward (which returns 3 councillors) whereas we live over the road in Valley ward (which only returns 2)

most definitely. I'll consider all the manifestos, look at the credentials of the candidates, think about what would be best for me and the community as a whole and then ignore all that and vote Conservative.

You could put a blue rosette on a fish finger and I could justify in my mind voting for it.

Conservatives were the first lot crossed off my list this time around. I was indoors all Saturday morning when a card popped through my letterbox saying "Your Conservative candidate called today but you were out." Bloody liars !!!

Thats what I meant, Bertie Ahern doesn't live in his constituency.

I will be voting the independant candidate as I believe local councils should not be assocatited with party politics, only worrying thing is my candidate believes my area would be better off not being run by West Sussex County Council.
