Phil Parkinson?

Rumoured he is being lined up for Ipswich with Royal moving upstairs.

I have always backed McGhee in fact at the time I was one who suggested him on SCR but the time is fast approaching when I think that the board have got to think:

Do we give him money in transfer window and hope?

or

Do we give it to somebody else to try?

The major question is Do the Board want to stay in this division?

Edged behind, caught at slip, but did it carry? Third umpire says no, but it is a very close one indeed..NOT OUT

Hope for what? Another UNTRIED and UNTESTED, UNENGLISH player that will never play unless McGhee decides to throw another game?

Out.

I think the Hull and QPR wins may have saved his job for a while yet but if I were in charge I would get someone else in and give them the money to get the players they want instead of sacking McGhee in February or March and the guy not having any funds to get the players in he wants.

Instead of just taking a cheap option and taking the piss out of people why don't you try and think up some PROPER reasons why McGhee is the best man for the job?

Read his interview in the programme this year. He was told he had no money at Bristol City he built a team around loans, free transfers and honest TRIED and TESTED players.
Then they sacked him. Now look at the mess they are in appointing Tinion as manager.

Oh and for the record thats one game. Not a whole season where

A) They finished above us and narrowly missed out on auromatic promotion

And

B) They beat us 4-1 at Withdean

That is bollocks, he had a much bigger transfer budget than us in League 1 - but don't let facts get in the way of your goonery, it's too entertaining :lolol:

Most teams that change managers mid-season do worse, not better.

Abstract:
Over a quarter-century of match-level data are used to examine the effect of managerial change on team performance in English (association) football, using ordered probit regression. On average, teams that changed their manager within-season are found to underperform over the following three months.

Yes and look at the mess they are in now since they sacked him and look how he saved MK Dons from relegation with about 4 gemes to go last year.

Go on put spin on that one.

Easy - We're not in the relegation zone. He took us up and kept us up.

Instead of just taking a cheap option and goading Irish why don't you try and think up some PROPER reasons why McGhee is not the best man for the job? If you're really clever you could come up with some suggestions.

Danny Wilson? Ha! He is getting relegated with MK Dons and managed to lose a playoff final to us lot.
