Report on Sporting Life site saying that MC feels that Brighton are pricing him out of a move.
If that's the case he won't be playing at his best if he stays.
Bissouma syndrome again.

What 'Bissouma syndrome'? He was brilliant for most of last season. Are you suggesting Cucu's about to get arrested for some unproven incident in a nightclub and lose form for a few weeks while worrying about it?

Pffft.............

Did we say 50m. Didn’t hear the club say that.

Absolutely. The only thing we know for sure is that it will take a bid of £50m + (Naylor). For all we know, Bloom could be thinking £60-£70m. We just don’t know! I would suggest neither do City, hence the low £30m opening salvo.

That is clearly bullshit. If anything Cucurella will be annoyed and offended by Man City for not valuing him. Low ball offers will only make him less likely to want to move there. Would you move somewhere that undervalues you?

What City offer for him isn’t going to make him less likely to go there from his perspective. It’s standard football negotiating tactics. We did the same before paying the release fee for him last year!

How would he think he's being priced out of a move?

We know City have made one offer of £30m, less than they got for there outgoing left back.

So, City have made one unreasonable offer, that's not being priced out of a move.

I agree with American Seagle. If City aren't offering enough to prise him away (and he'll know his market rate), then he'll know that City aren't serious about signing him. And if they aren't serious about signing him, then they won't be that serious about playing him. He's either a prized asset to them, or he's not.

If anything, it’s more like the derisory offer Leeds made for Ben White. He played well for another season, and was sold for a decent value.

Naylor reporting today - few new bits.
Cucurella is not unsettled by the noise / expected to play a part in Reading (A) today.
“Sources at Brighton now believe highly unlikely City he’ll meet Albion’s £50m + valuation”

Yep……more likely the truth his Marc is thinking ‘cheeky ***ts, if they think I’m worth less than Nathan Ake they can **** off’

If they’re relaxed about him getting injured in a pre season friendly with Reading then that seems to be a fairly relaxed approach to the pursuit of a #1 target. (That said Cucurella was playing for Spain in the Olympics this time last year )

If we manage to put Citeh off Cucu, that will be truly historic for the club. It puts us in a whole new light. Spuds managed it with Kane but we’re no top six side. Unbelievable.
