An impressive 405,000 volunteers signed up but quite difficult to see these guys getting tested before they go around helping out but possibly spreading the virus to the particularly vulnerable?

Italy losing 600-800 people per day in the last 5 days, how long can it go on for? Horrible really, it’s sad to think that we could be in the same situation on a few weeks.

I’m getting nervous too. They’re normally announced around 4pm GMT; still no word today. Really hoping there’s nothing to the unusual time at all, and we’ll see another figure under 100, or as close to that as possible.

Our trajectory looks not quite so bad next to Spain's. I think spain is where it arrived at my kids school from

We could order 100k, get them, test them and go back - oh look 'other country' has ordered them. Potentially cheap punt with some degree of certainty

As you may or may not (more likely) know, the numbers in Sweden have been fantastic so far but two hours ago the chief of medicine in Stockholm held an extra press conference where he said "today, the storm has come".

Really worried because this morning the healthcare workers union said: "safety equipment will run out in two days in many parts of the country".

What is alarming is the potential effect on the mental health of front line staff. I note that a young nurse in London ICU unit and a nurse in Italy have reportedly committed suicide. Both in units with patient deaths. RIP.
