Just come in from doing my garden and there's a gardening company working opposite my house cutting stuff and blowing things around from what I can see. (Don't know where they'll take it though as dumps are closed)

Don't know if this helps

Thanks

I’ve decided to go out but only after ringing customers first ..couple cancelled and I didn’t try to persuade them otherwise ...did all the usual stuff..asked for payment online ..leaving gates open ...no drink or coming out etc
Just have to see how it goes ..The guys I use for machine repairs have had to close up ..so if anything breaks it’s kaput ..just grateful to get out although not earning much ..day by day and see what blows

Some of the green wastes sites are open ..however the guy I use is uncertain about carrying on at the mo

Thanks though

Ps if I was working as part of a firm sharing a van then I wouldn’t

Then repeats ambiguous advice and medical professional goes on say it's a common sense principle and leaves it up to employers.

What a load of bollocks.

Yes. They had 168 on the same day, more than double. Our advantage is that with the exception of London, we don’t have an epicentre like Lombardy. The government are doing well to convert the Excel into a 500 capacity hospital, if we run out of ICU beds in the capital, we’ll quickly see Italy style death rates.

But we do have an epicentre like Lombardy. Pop. of Lombardy, circa 10m and pop. of London, circa 8m!

Tbf probably few of these were infected in the weekend as this virus seemingly is not a quick killer... but in the long run yes, things like that have consequences.

1500 new cases today alone. The people who still went to packed markets and congregated on beaches in groups, went to family meals and generally treated it like a bank holiday weekend have blood on their hands, no doubt about it.

It’s really unbelievable considering scientists think upwards of 80% of cases could have little to no symptoms, I dread to think how many were infected over the weekend and our poor NHS workers will suffer because of it, dreadful.

The number of new cases is continuing to slow down though, so here's hoping that it continues to drop and that today is more of a "final flourish" rather than the sign of a longer struggle.

Got mine at 7 this morning. It said more info at gov.uk/coronavirus

I didn't want to click the link (in case it was a scam) so I entered the address on my PC, and it was correct and gave advice (which basically said you can go to work if you can't work from home).

I got mine on EE at about 1600 this afternoon.

These numbers on day to day is going to be jumpy, too much coincidence involved, its the trends that count.

Although too early to say much the "lower than before" percentage of new cases is what is important at this time.

Afaik the shutdown was earlier and tougher in Lombardy than the rest of Italy, so the development there at the moment should be of bigger interest than Italy in general. I'm desperate for a powernap though so I'll leave that to someone else.

% of new cases is important, but the problem is we don't know accurate figures on that, as the testing protocol keeps changing.

Regardless, the basics of the virus aren't rocket science. If a population stops socialising, then the rate of the spread of the virus will decrease. Short term, the virus will still spread within households, but not so much between households.

And this is why still people just not taking it seriously. It's the same people that will force a total lockdown and army patrols if it carries on which is what no one wants. I only want to see the army help save lives with the NHS not having to patrol our streets

As I keep posting stop blaming the government blame the ****ing idiots of society. unfortunately there appears to be many of them.

This is the problem though. Some of the places that I had to deliver today to did not need to be open. Delivered to one company who make parts for aircraft. I asked did the airline's require the parts urgently? Reply was no because they are not flying now due to the ban, did you need to come in with full staff to get these part made? No but I came in because I was told I could by the government.
I thanked him for not only putting me at risk, but many others as I am classed as a key worker. Thank God my company has advised that we will only be making deliveries a d collections to food and pharmaceutical companies.

Please if you are going into work tomorrow and your job is not supplying the food and pharmaceutical tell your boss lets close. This goes for garages aswell, if people need work done on their cars they are likely to come out.

The government should just say if you do not deal directly with food and pharmaceutical then you must close.
