"You are beautiful, no matter what they say" (Christina Aguilera)

Admirable sentiment, love, in a Jeremy Kyle sort of way, but not always true.

The way it was sung suggests a comma placed as below (obvisuly wrong!!!)-

"The Wombles of Wimbledon, common are we"

Not VERY common if they are only found in Wimbledon.

Going back to the original post and being particularly pedantic, there is actually plenty of rabbit in Sainsburys - you just need to look in the dog food section.

When Chas & Dave recorded the song, Sainsbury's sold loads of frozen rabbit in the meat section. It was mainly from China. I detest rabbit pie but was made to eat it as a kid.

"i am, whatever you say i am.
if i wasn't, then why would i say i am?"

*holding up tungsten-tipped screws for nails*

Ok, Squeeze my favourite band and otherwise a great lyric (Up the Junction) but

This morning at 4:50
I took her rather nifty
Down to an incubator
Where thirty minutes later
She gave birth to a daughter

No Difford, she would first go to a maternity ward. Only if the baby was premature or ill would the baby go in an incubator.

My old mans a dustman, he wears a dustmans hat
He wears cor blimey trousers, and he lives in a council flat

What exactly are "cor blimey" trousers please?

Rhyming slang for grimey trousers?

The Righteous Brothers - You've lost that loving feeling

"You never close your eyes any more
When I kiss your lips"

That fact that he knows she doesn't close her eyes suggests that his eyes were not only open when her's were, but that they were open when she kissed with her's shut so he knows she doesn't close them "any more"... which surely means he lost that loving feeling long before she did!

"My baby takes the morning train
He works from 9 to 5 and then
He takes another home again......"

That Sheena Easton is one bad mother.
