We can call it 'backlash', after decades of curled-lip sweaty twats cheering on everyone we play, and supporting Argentina and Germany, and generally applauding every goal against us.
Then the welsh have been banging on about how much they hate the English, and I can imagine that the Irish and NIrish dislike us too - so why not rub their repugnant LOSING noses in it when we win

Scotland going to the WC is a COMPLETE waste of time anyway.
Two years of qualifying, just for them to play 3 games and embarrass themselves (yet again) in front of the whole world. I think its best for all concerned if the Jocko's stay at home.

I was in bonny Scotland just before a major game against Germany. I counted at least 5 German flags hanging iout of bedroom windows on the journey from the airport to the city.
They take a delight in upping any oppos of the English with particular reverence to the Argies and the Germans. I have yet to see any concern south of the border or feigned support to Scotlands adversaries in any competetive sport.
Anyone think to hang out the Dutch flag last night? Any top English pro sportsman (aside from Tennis) adorn the Dutch shirt whilst giving an IV?
