Hither (sometimes Thither)
isn't a bit of one of those domino effect situations in which one club makes a decent purchase and shoves and topples everyone else into action? Very few moves in the topflight thus far and clearly players are wanted.
I hope Ulloa doesn't need a bank-breaking sum to not strut his way back into La Liga now even with a relegation-bound club. There's no point sending ourselves into any more Barberous actions just to make someone be not over the moon to be here but on a wage that can't help but win him over. I don't think i'd like the motto: he'll like it when he gets here. We need the enthused and not just those we possess by waving red 50s at.

In Gus and Tony we trust, I firmly believe we will get someone as we are nearly there as top 6 team if not better, early days plenty of time.

If he is any good and we have missed out on him, we may only have ourselves to blame. If true that we were after him at the beginning of the season why did we not sort out passport problems in the last four months. Also Gus has been very vocal in the last few days, not usually the case when we are trying to buy a player. May have brought him to the attention of other clubs. Also worried that Gus is playing games when "bigging up" Bridcutt and Bridge in the papers saying they should be playing at a higher level. Is he trying to tempt an offer for Bridcutt. Don't think we will hang onto Bridge next season, but hope we can.
Let's hope Gus has got another striker on the radar and he does'nt leave it too late before making up his mind as it looks like the Ulloa situation is likely to run and run.
How can WE sort out his passport issues? It's between him and the authorities, surely?

This

Also his club, if they knew we or other foreign clubs were/ are intrested in him and they are in a position to sell him, it is surely down to them. I read into it that we should have maybe contacted them and expressed our intentions to check he is still available, and where they are on the passport issue before the window opened (which I am sure we must have done) . I read into it he does not want to come to England full stop, look how quick other football players get there bloomin passports sorted out on deadline day.

We're all getting worked up about this Ulloa guy and many think he will still sign, but frankly I know little or next to nothing about him. Is he really worth pursuing that much? Gus's record on transfers is pretty hit and miss. I'd love to think he will do a decent job if he arrives but have a worrying feeling that we might be getting our hopes up and he'll be another dud.

Which of the players signed in the summer is a dud then? TK, Bruno, Bridge, Hammond, Crofts, Orlandi, Lopez, Dobbie? 7 out of those 8 play regularly. All managers sign duds but our recent record in signing quality is pretty impressive I would say.

Gus now only chases proven quality players for the first team squad, his record this season is excellent. He has been a bit hit and miss with strikers in the past but I expect he knows this and is unlikely to make the same errors again.

Plus the scouting network at the club has been radically overhauled in the last few months.

Out of curiosity just how many "duds" has Gus signed exactly I am intrested to know ?

I was referring to players like : Harley who he seemed desperate to pursue, Dobie who doesn't exactly fit into Gus's style of play, Crofts - who IMO has been a real diappointment since returning. Don't get me wrong he obviously has a good scouting network especially outside of the UK, but I'm just worried that little is known about Ulloa by most of us and hope we don't get left cold if he doesn't sign by the end of the month. I genuinely want this transfer to work out as god knows we need a new striker but does anyone have some clips of him scoring from the web?

Regards new player recruitment why do people believe Gus had anything to do with some of them?

Whilst the link to Granada makes me slightly suspicious, is it possible Ulloa is just using them as a back-up for if his passport can't be sorted? I know Granada have to get rid of one of their non-EU players but if they do and Ulloa can't get a passport, then it would make sense for him to join them.
