Leon Knight, give him a trial?

Forget that this is a player we know. Why would Gus give a trial to a player who had one season of goalscoring many years ago but has since worked his way steadily downward leaving a trail of destruction wherever he's been since, culminating in being sacked from a conference club, a Greek 2nd div side and the team bottom of the Scots prem? Along the way he has scored virtually no goals. If Gus was considering giving a trial to any other player with this record we'd all be questioning his sanity, so why make a special case for Knight, just because he's (supposedly) come onto this board?

I wouldn't bother with a trial - not because he is Leon Knight but because his record suggest that he just isn't nearly good enough for us. And I find it absolutely astounding that there are 117 (and counting) out there who would.
