Landis can't keep up!

The yellow jersey WILL change at the end of the stage...!

But who will get it?

Oscar Pereiro was only ten seconds behind Landis and is now well ahead of him on the mountain road. But there may be others incontention like Kloden ???

Landis down to 11th after finishing 10 minutes behind leading group.

David Millar has just come in, some 25 minutes behind the winner (44th on the day) - no sign of Bradley Wiggins!

Cycling is up there with the most unexciting sports there are.

Boring, boring, boring.

And they're all drugged up to the eyeballs.

The only thing they are racing for is the overall leader.

Last day for any major upsets:

The race is on. Last ditch attempt by Landis and the Phonak team to burn off all their rivals and gain back the time he lost yesterday.

I think the current yellow leader Pereiro may crack and give the race to Kloden or Sastre with Menchov as the outsider.

13:33 - The Landis Group...
Landis, Kloden, Rogers, Evans, Sastre and Menchov are the only riders left at the front of the peloton after Landis’ surge of pace...!

It is already beginning to happen!

http://www.letour.fr/2006/TDF/LIVE/us/1600/depeches.html

The reports come later than the time shown.

Watch Leipheimer later in the day though ?

Floyd Landis has made a breakaway. He has got to make up 8 minutes though.

13:54 - Three Caisse d’Epargne Riders Lead Pereiro
There are 45 riders in the yellow jersey’s peloton which is being led by four riders from the Caisse d’Epargne riders, including Pereiro. This group is 2’40" behind Landis.

Pereiro in the yellow journey has not cracked and has recovered, or Sastre and Kloden did not fancy the increased pace quite yet.

They are all hoping that Floyd Landis has not get the speed and stamina to make up the lost time?!
