Putting the Falmer banners up on all the bridges along the a23 would be a good idea.

Prescott is hardly going to get the train is he.

We have to greet them on there way into the city, the a23?

Put banners up anywhere in town.

Get some of those "business cards" printed off, and put them in hotels/pubs/clubs/and if posssible the brighton center.

Scale the Brighjton center/hotel

March through town.

Throw eggs at Prscott.

Dress up as bats and protest outside brighton centre :dunce:

Block there entrance to the city/hotel/conference

It must be drastic, 'coz they are taking the piss now, and they must learn we will not stand for it.

does anyone know anyone that works in the brighton centre?

To be fair, it looks like throwing things at politicians may actually be the way forward. Fathers For Justice, or whatever they're called, pelted Blair in the Commons with those powder-filled condoms - and today all the parties are falling over themselves to give them a better deal.

Not sure about throwing things at MPs as that'll give a bad impression.
Doubt this will happen due to anti-terrorist meassures but the best way to be heard is to stand rioght outside the BC with at least a couple thousand of us all singing WE WANT OUR STADIUM and various other Falmer related songs in unison. They wont NOT be able to hear inside and the disruption to JP's speech would make headline news....surely!

A mass sit in (out?) outside the Brighton Centre after the first day of the conference with continuous chanting of "All we are saying, is give us a ground." would be noticed.

What is clear though is if no decision has been announced, it will represent the best opportunity for national and international coverage that we will have.

When does the conference start?

does anyone know when labour will be arriving?

maybe we could have a demo outside the conference, block the road, just like the van drivers did when the parking fees came in, but we'll be on what ever we want.

It may also be worth, if an announcement hasn't been given, to do a demo, but invite fans from other clubs, etc.... to show we are not a provincial club.

Last Paragraph is a GREAT idea!

Trouble is with my idea and other peoples about protesting outside the BC is the simple fact that the Police may very well shut the road off and force us away due to anti-terrorist clauses, they would play that card just too disperse us. Besides i'm sure they wanna focus on that rather than a few thousand fans shouting...thus letting a possible bomber wander up to the BC front door!

What hotel are they staying in??

could it be worth having a demo there instaed or at both, just to be careful of clashes with police, unless you all think we are at the stage where any publicity is good publicity

again the security around the Hotel (bound to be the Grand) will be as tight as a fishing line with a 25lb Mirror Carp at the other end. Last thing we want is to incite ANY trouble, unfortunatley even if a peaceful demo is planned there will be a few nutters who will turn up just to get in a ruck with the Police. It happened during the Animal Exports in Shoreham Harbour a few years ago and I dont wan that sort of bad publicity happening with the Albion this time around.

just viewing it from a common sense point of view.

Dont do anything as this will affect our getting Falmer.

What are you all thinking about?

What have we spent the last few years battling about?

Remember we are told we must be whiter than white ( is that a Racist term?) so we must no do anything to upset John in the slightest as the Falmer residents will use it against us.

Just be nice and polite, dont drop any rubbish near the centre, dont abuse anyone....just be nice:angel:

Anyone else have any more ideas? This is essential if an announcement has not been made, becuase there will be national tv crews, newspapers and such. This is a golden oppurtunity which we should not let go by without any sorty of demo.

THIS IS THE FUTURE OF THE CLUB!!!

We should make it absolutly the only thing that any of the papers, TV cameras, and all the press get to hear about all around the centre, and the hotel.

We need to get hundreds, if not thousands of us there, all over the place, all in blue and white, for the entire length of the conference, form the first minute till the last TV crew goes home.

We must be handing out leaflets to all the delegates, can we get somethng in an official looking press pack type thing to give to all the reporters?

There must be no doubt all over the country that Brighton fans peacefully demonstrated the crap out of the conference.

If it goes to that of course, he might have said yes by then.

Peaceful rotten egg/fruit/veg protest has been how citizens have shown their displeasure at politicians and other criminals for hundreds of years. It's definitely the way to go here. there's absolutely no excuse for this level of delay in announcing the decision. Government departments have service level agreements for individuals e.g. 'we will respond to your letter within x days' and it's been the best part of six months since the inquiry wound up. The only assumption to make if it's not announced by the start of the Conference is that it's a NO vote and they don't want the civil disturbance during Conference by announcing it in advance. If it's a YES vote then they'd bloody well better announce (or leak) the result in advance of the Conference else all albion fans MUST assume the worst and act accordingly. It's the biggest shop window we're ever going to get - it's worldwide media and news pages not sports pages - and we must make it count. f*** 'EM UP BIGTIME! :salute:

Whatever is planned, it is important that you remember there is a huge security cordon all round the Brighton Centre and the Metropole Hotel, so you need to think carefully about where people will actually see you. You won't be able to get anywhere near the entrance to the Brighton Centre or Metropole, for instance - unless you have a pass, which would be hastily removed at the first sign of any mass demonstration.

Maybe identify where the entrances to the security cordon are and demonstrate near there - or at the station as delegates arrive?
