Worrying thing is Lynch has made no secret of the fact he sees us as a stepping stone to a big club. Which in a way I quite like. He has ambition and you know where you stand with him.
Personally I think he's the best defender we've produced by a margin.

That slightly undervalues him I think but is not outrageous - and the uncomfortable fact is that we may need an energetic, skillful midfielder like Stokes more than we need Lynch in League 1 given our glut of decent centre-backs.

I'm not so sure, I think that would be a pretty good deal. He does look a decent player, but he is by no means the finished article, and plenty of players of his ability don't go on to fulfil their potential.
