I thought he did very well today. Not just his goal (and hitting the post) but his general play, holding up of the ball, holding players off etc was also very good. Definitely the best any of our strikers played today, and the best he's played in the first team.

Joe

He played like that at Oldham too - his game is having a growth spurt

He did the same thing at Oldham, got in good positions and was always looking for the ball, also managed to get a couple of good shots in. If he keeps it up he'll be pushing for a start

He played OK when he came on today. No more than that. And about time too.

As for being the best of our strikers today ... bullshit! Revell was probably MOM and Jakey, once he got going in the second half played better than Gatting.

Jake had about two good moments in the game, and Revell worked hard to little effect. Gatts kept possession much better and helped us to build attacks. Oh, and he scored.

Dear oh dear, musn't give any credit to Gatting must we. Revell won a lot in the air but that was about it, nowhere near the best of a bad bunch & Robinson looked lightweight & out of his depth for 70 - 75 minutes. Gatting at least managed to hold the ball up & look to bring the midfield in.
They're all entitled to an off day ,We all know the age of our players & know they will come good again. Yeovil was just another lesson to be learned.

Average, even McPhee would have scored that. If he don't improve his performances by the end of the season, we should consider getting rid.

NSC is just so ridiculous sometimes.

Agreed he looked good and showed how he could become part of a regular showing(maybe something to do with Elder coming).

Jake looked like he couln't be bothered all the time it's not played to him on a plate-until late on and the Massive in J and K Blocks shouted at him to take on the defenders on which he did several times and got the shots in.

Jakes whole game IMO is about running at and frightening defenders, getting in that box and getting his shot off or getting fouled for the penalty, come on jake you have no need to lack in confindence just do it and become a legend, easy really!

Yeah thats right! If our youth prospects don't prove INSTANT hits we should bin them all despite them showing great promise.

I thought he looked good as well and his goal can only be good for his confidence. Well done Joe.

It's taken Hammond 3 or 4 seasons to become an integral part of our team - he made his debut during Hinsh Senior's traumatic 10 game losing streak... how long ago was that! It's taken Robinson a few years to break through, & Cox is the exception in terms of a youth player performing straigh away

I just wonder how long some people have actually been watching football, does anybody honestly expect a youth player to break into the team and be an instant star ? Clearly Gatting is improving as his confidence grows. Slagging a player, especially a youngster, off when they start is hardly going to improve their game.
