Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Another lovely sunny, but cold morning.
You can see all the various stages of the cladding of the east stand. The insulation goes on first, followed by what I believe is the finish, those sexy moondust silver tiles.
The holes are being dug for the foundations to take the uprights for the continuation of the west stand, and the south west thrust block is progressing, as are the north stand foundations.
3 lots of 5 coming up.

Absof***inglutely superb again Mr Straw.
Much better than the webcam!

You don't really get the sense of how HUGE that west stand is going to be from photos, do you?
Is it beginning to tower over the hoardings?

That is brilliant. The new stand is going to be Phenominal. Although I want to sit in the East stand, I cannot wait to see the view from the top of the third tier of the West Stand.

I love the silver claddiung, it makes it look as if the stand is nearly finished - although it clearly isn't.

is that the "glass" going on the roof to the East stand? or are my eyes deceiving me?

A lot of modern stadia have translucent roofs - it allows sunlight through and hence faciliates better growth in the grass. I can't see what photo you mean, but we probably would end up with a glass-effect roof, so you may well be correct.

I think it could be photo4 of the second batch. I can see what he means though (under the arch by the smaller crane).

Batch 2 picture 4 on some of the sections of the roof there look to be clear panels on top.....further to the cross struts! That is what I am referring to, they appear haphazardly placed at the moment and I believe the roof is going to be translucent hence my thoughts

By jove, you're right. I can't wait until we have a stand with a roof. I'm grinning like a demented cheshire cat!

That does look like glass panels which would be right as the roof is going to be clear

Fantastic pictures . Thankyou
