Thanks Husty. You are great. Problem I have is nightmare Serrano. Have spoke with the family doctor and all she ( Mrs ferry ) says is have you spoke with anyone? She doesn't understand, Why would I want to speck with uni students who have a degree? I want to speck with people who have been in that situation dealing with people who have dementia. My dad isn't back, really worried now. Hope he's ok as if the worse happens then I'll be arrested for murder.

I'm sure what you're doing through is terrible and I'm well aware I am very fortunate to have never been put through a similar situation, there are people who can help and it is never worth doing anything reckless in the short term. No one would accuse you of murder but if you are worried about your dad then give the police a ring, we all like to bash them but they are here for situations like this.

Then it's best to phone the police, on a Sunday evening in Brighton I can't imagine they'll have too much on their hands, I'm sure Edna would agree with me that it is not a waste of their time.

Give the taxi companies a call mate. Give them a recent location and a description of your dad and they will look out for him and if they see him will call it in to base.
They get a lot of calls when kids go missing and you would be suprised with the success rate.
There's a lot more cabs driving about the city than police

I'm assuming you are in the Brighton area - there is a local Alzheimer's organisation based in woodingdean and I know the day hospital in new church rd in hove has all sorts of specialists - medical and non medical for people with dementia. Pm me if you would like me to forward exact details.
You can and will get through this - you don't have to do this by yourself, all us nsc nuts are always here for you and there is specialist help and support out there. Best wishes x

Word of advice. My dad used to suffer from Bi Polar disorder, and used to leave the house at all the times of the night. It used leave me and my mum completely and utterly stressed out. Phone the police as soon as you can, honestly your not wasting their time.
