I think the quote from the Ajaccio chairman isn't entirely accurate as Monaco would have been able to offer a tax free salary to Ribas under residency rules whereas any bid from us had the complications of PAYE and NI. , unless we did it as a "Pompey" deal.

We could offer a tax-free salary. Ibrahimovic gets a tax-free salary, all you have to do is work out amount gives £900,000 after tax and then pay them that figure.
