Its Official The Us Having Given Up Looking For Weapons Of Mass Destruction In Iraq

News coming in indicates that the searchers have been brought back to the US, the CIA agents are now back in their bunkers in the US.
Basically the main rationale for the war for the UK Govt has been totally discredited.

But its ok they have invented plenty of other reasons why it was ok to blow the crap out of thousands and thousands of innocent civillians.

Stopped looking, started concentrating on securing the long term democratic future of liberated Iraq free from tyranny.

Compare that to the number of Iraqis killed by Saddam and sons team - about 500,000 Kurds, one million Iranians, a number of Kuwaitis and other Arabs.

Yep, we should have done something about that at the time, like not giving Saddam the delivery systems to chemically gas the Kurds, or not supporting Saddam in the war against Iran.

But our troops killing another huge load of Iraqis, and creating the pre-conditions for another catastrophic civil war between Shia and Sunni, seems to me a recipe for future disasters to come.

But let's agree to disagree on this for now and watch over the next few months as the evidence of your "liberation" unfolds........

Better late then never LI. Are you saying that every time USA fucks up by selling someone weapons or assisting them they should not try and right this wrong in the future?

No, how about not making the 'mistake' in the future at all. Far mroe sensible but there's no money in it for the oil men and the arms companies so they'll carry on supporting dictators.

Just like we and they are doing with Khazakstan currently.

Anyone who thinks democratic government might be achieved in Iraq in the near future might like to read this;Falluja report for a different perspective to the Americans wishful thinking.

For the right reasons, and the right strategy - including a little foresight about what happens next.

Oh yes, well done for stopping looking. One of the two main reasons our govts told us we needed to go to war was complete bollocks but great, fantastic, now for democracy, they've been making such a good job of it so far...

oh hang on, sorry Richie I forgot you opposed the war cos you 'hate students'
