Nor should they be happy! The whole enterprise has already cost LDC (and by extension their Council Tax payers) shedloads of money, that's what we've been saying. We've also been saying that it will in fact cost them far more than the paltry sum they've allowed for it. To help this overspend process on it's way we've got to increase their costs until this exercise costs them thousands more than they budgeted for. After all our argument is that they are are doing this out of undemocratic class spite, they haven't thought it through and there are going to be hidden costs. I want those costs to be as high as possible. Once the bills start going up they may think twice about continuing the action and they'll certainly think twice about escalating it to the House of Lords or the European Court when they ultimately lose the J.R. (eg when it's referred back to Prescott's office and he comes to the same decision again).Gaffer said:Problem is "costing them money" means in the end higher council taxes so Lewes District Council Taxpayers will not be happy
I think that will be more effective than town-blocking demos which will just piss of the residents. It will certainly be more effective than a few peaceful protests outside Council meetings.
