Is Wilkins under-estimating how poor we actually were?

Oatway is back. We'll do well. His injury is perhaps the main reason why we were relegated to division 1.

There was me thinking it was the fact that the teams around us made an effort to stay in the div by bringing in either a loan signing or two or a decent new face.....granted it all costs money...but if sheff wed hadnt..they would have gone down.

The board didnt give mcghee a decent budget and couldnt do anything...oatway getting injured was just another nail in the coffin I thought

As a fan of this club I am welcome to my thoughts on Dean Wilkins and his performance as manager last season...because I think it will turn out sour doesnt mean after 15 years of watching us...spending thousends in the mean time........mean I should fcuk off and support someone else.

If you think last season was a good season and were happy with the performances of the lads under wilkins tenure..then maybe you think eastbourne borough play a little bit like AC Milan.??

:tosser:

I didn't say last season was good.Far from it.For some reason you can't seem to get into your thick head that Wilkins needed a full summer to change things. To many kids were thrown in all at once which he had little choice. All you do is f***ing moan. Go and buy some sweets you silly boy

And if October comes and we are in a decent posistion then you can turn round to me and give me a pat on the back while refilling my pint glass.Besides October is a bit to early to pass judgement. At least give it till christmas.Millwall were second bottom at christmas and look where they finished

They were pretty limp at home.

I suppose away games don't count...

So the home form was BECAUSE of Wilkins, and the away form was DESPITE him?

Or do away wins not require any 'tactical nous'?

agree with the part about wilkins needing a summer to sort it out, but so far i dont think he has done too good a job at doing that. whing is a decent signing as he was by far our best full back last season. but forster will only get the goals with a decent supply line. something we didn't have last season and an area that hasnt been strengthened at all

and your neagtivity and McGhoo love is boring the rest of us. FFS it's a new season, they've won their freilndleys so far so stop moaning and give them a chance or watch someone else. notice I say watch rather than support cos I doubt you are capable:rant::tosser:

byf, firstly I don't understand exactly what you think you are achieving with the constant negativity and slagging off of Wilkins. How do you think that is going to help?

Secondly, you repeatedly have a go at people that wanted McGhee gone, and say they were unfair and harsh, and then go and do EXACTLY the same thing to Wilkins. More than a little hypocritical, no?

its odd byf and a common theme that when you debate something and are not insulting to anyone on NSC personal insults with eventually come up, but are we really suprised, we have been consistant in not rating Wilkins but its a game of opinions and it is very much one rule for Wilkins and one rule for McGhee

No it isn't, under Knight if managers don't perform his sacks them, rightly or wrongly! Wilkins will go the same way if results aren't whats required.

We will go down with Wilkins in charge for a full season. The bloke I am afraid is uetterly clueless. And lets not get over excited Whinge is an average Div 3 player and Forster is 34 and here for a light season before he retires, not great signings imho. We will have a very long and hard season with the only objection not to go down to div 4. Knight will be happy with 20th and Wilkins is under no pressure as the expectations are so low.

Totally disagree with your assessment of Whing and Forster... far too negative... Wendy will be sacked if we are not mid-table at least around Christmas time is my guess...

Forster will get disillusioned with the shower of shite around him much like Bertin did at the end of last season

I reckon Bertin lost interest in playing for Brighton because his agent said there was interest from other clubs...
