The booing was at the referee for letting the play be delayed for so bloody long was it not?

A medical decision maybe should have been made more speedily, and the player escorted from the field of play without such delay, but when someone is carried off it's best to send your best wishes via applause rather than the jeering of someone else. That's just manners, innit?

I think there may be some acoustics issues, because i have read all over the NSC in the last 24 hours that the noise was immense in the stadium, which i hope it was but i stood in the south east corner with several others (match day staff)
and have to say the noise does not travel to that area as for much of the game the noise level was no more than we had at The Withdean.
I assume its because it a open an area.
So although there is apparently a good noise from the North/west stands it does not get heard in the away end.

That may be an issue. I've watched loads of youtube videos from yesterday and heard songs from wsu for instance that at the match from my seat in the east were inaudible. People in other areas of the ground said the east was quiet but in the family stand the atmosphere was simply amazing.

I have massive sympathy if what I'm hearing about The old Man and child being spat on. There's CCTV everywhere so surely the culprits can be identified. I would like to think that I can visit any of this leagues grounds with my son and be afforded (at the very least) a tepid welcome. As for Billy Sharp, he's no shirker and when he goes down like that, you know he was in trouble.....Hopefully for you Donny Guys, he's back as soon as possible. For the duration of the game it was about the points but afterwards I'm disgusted if that incident took place, "the decent fans of this club of which are by far the majority will echo that comment" Hope you had a safe journey home. Please don't tar us all with the same brush. Good luck for your season !!

Who's tarring who here ? That Viking nonce has been bitching on here since last week and whilst I certainly am disgusted about the spitting did anybody else see it ? The fact that he has whined on about the ticketing and the fact that some fans didn't get to the game, how is that our fault ? Like certain other people he should address his concerns to the club and not on here shouldn't he ?

Have to say, reading through this thread, the Donny fan is sounding more rational than you. No need for all the cliched name calling, many of the points made are valid.

I love the stadium but once finished I'll love it even more. The more constructive comments we get from fans the better as the club can learn from and implement any they feel worth while. New stadia are likely to be built away from town/city centres in future so visiting supporters should to find out in advance where they are situated.

I cannot believe the noise is compatable to Withdean no matter what part of the Amex you are in, I spoke to some friends in the SE corner whoo could hear both the north and west and said when both sung together sounded great and got the east going also.

If you had read his drivel that started on Thursday you'd know why this tit pisses me off. In fact a few other Donny fans posted on here slagging him off. Pity you didn't know that of course. The fact his he should have put his points to the club and not on here. Oh, Jimbo is the bloke that left a message for Tony Bloom on here hence why I made my point.

Far more than you fella and far bigger names , give me your top 5 and I will reciprocate and make you look rather foolish. Try google, I'll start you off Harry Gregg, Bert Tindall (most prolific striker both on goals scored and goals to games ratio), Alick Jeffries (recognised as one of the finest player of his era compared by many top pundits to Duncan Edwards before an horrific leg injury) , Peter Doherty, Billy Bremner (as player/manager, Ian Snodin, David Pegg (died at Munich) and of course for modern supporters :- Billy Sharp (goals to games ratio), James Coppinger, 'Sir' Francis Tierney (who brought us back from the dead). The list goes on.........
We may be a small club with a 'flat pack stadium but included in that list are some of the very top players in both the historical and modern game for us as supporters and for many that know their football .
Now your turn, but remember these were supposed to be our legends as that was the original idea wasn't it ?

Not many true 'Legends' are there though ? I bet Rotherham have more.

I don't think i've been to a stadium that has signs telling away fans where to go. To be fair, there are signs to the South stand on the walls of the stadium so unless you are looking AWAY from the stadium for the entire time you will see one.

Everyone around me gave polite applause when the players both went off,.... the jeering WAS because it was ages before they even called for the medical backup,....... very slow..... no right minded supporter jeers an injured player,... for goodness sake.

I don't know the percentage around me that gave polite applause whilst the others jeered loudly, but it was the screams of seeming unfairness that came out on top, and that sounded unpleasant. Maybe the good people, like you and I, were both applauding and jeering at once so that the messages were sadly mixed.
I reckon a lot of people, you know, the wrong-minded, wanted to get on with the game and generally thought this to be a timewasting exercise to keep a 1-0 lead. Or didn't care for this opposition player's health at all and simply wanted the chance for us to get level over their wellbeing.

Should have put the away fans in the corner of the East Stand next to the North Stand then a small gap between that and the rest of the East Stand might look a bit odd but would have been better for banter !!

Great post and we need to listen to the comments of such supporters and learn from them.

I think the screen would look better if it said ALBION not BHA, seems less "clinical" and maybe while the match is playing have the club crest on the screen in the centre with the clock and ALBION (and opponents name) until the replays come up.
I do agree also about showing red/yellow cards on the screen.

The concourses do feel a bit cold, it didnt feel like somewhere where I could relax and watch the late game. But everything else about the stadium is fine. If you have problems finding the SOUTH stand then I feel sorry for you.

WSU was boiling!

Can see the blokes points to be fair.
The toilets in the north are completely inadequate for the amount of fans 3 cubicles for christ sake !!!!!
Lack of signage is a concern, most football stadiums do have the brown information signs pointing you in the right direction.
I know Donny are supposed to be our lovers but the lack of segregation could well become an issue as the season progresses.
