If we lose at Yeovil, Slade in or out?

Even if he starts to turn things around at this level and we can stay up, he clearly is not the Manager to take us to the Premiership anyway.

Good to see we're not getting TOO ahead of ourselves then eh.

Can anyone tell me if we're playing okay, just not getting results?

We've had sendings-off and Forster is knocking them in for fun - are we REALLY playing as badly as we did under MA mk2 or are people frustrated at last season's hopes not materialising?

Spells of good play going forward, but a shambles at the back, overall its a decidely average team

It's nowhere near as dismal as it was under Adams. But it's not great either.

Playing much better than last year - especially going forward and that's without Murray (who is a quality footballer).

Defence will be great once Salde (c. Earnest) realises that Wright and Tunni are the best footballing centre back pairing. Or, we get a specialist defensive coach who can take Elphick to one side and coach him in the art of stepping up or backing off - not getting stuck between the two and letting L1 forwards run round him.

Bennett, Dicker and Crofts all look tidy and Fozzie (if he stays fit) is bang on form.

Not all doom and gloom - but it's about time we started winning, especially at Theatre of trees... Bring back rocketman.

Whilst I agree that we are playing better than last year the problem seems to be is that so is everyone else! Also with a number of bigger teams in this league it's gonna be even more difficult to get out of this league. We always seem to score less than most other teams & despite some neat play we are by and large a one man attack. Our defence is not up to scratch & discipline is woeful. Our league position is a true reflection of our play so far & two wins all season is unaceptable. If we lose at Yeovil & draw at home to the gills, the fans will turn on Slade I believe

If we lose or draw against Yeovil , Pikeys and Tranny there isn't much hope for him and TB will have to decide at the beginning of December after the big 4 games in a row on bringing in a replacement or alternatively sacking BB and DW and giving RS an ultimatum about turning things around.

Not really, that is the stated aim of Tony Bloom, therefore, he should structure the Club to achieve it. Does anyone really think that Russell Slade has the potential to get us promoted from the Championship, let alone keep us in the Premiership?

I don't think peoplpe thought Phil Brown had it in him to keep hull in the premiership, or coppell to keep reading in there (at least one season) or that paul jewell would keep wigan up.

No.

I don't believe other clubs panicking is relevant. I've not seen performances to know if Barnes being fired is right. Same with Taylor's mutual consent.

And certainly them being available doesn't make me want either of them instead of Slade.

I agree that neither should be at BHA. However, I am fed up with only two wins this season. If Slade cannot get a win out of Yeovil or Gillingham - then IMO he has to go.

Agreed. He has been wasting too many "winnable games". 2 wins from the next 3, anything less and he has to go.

The next three games are definitely winable, if we don't get anything from them. Then I throughly expect Slade to be shown the door.

I agree with that but am really gutted about it. To be honest, if we lost at Yeovil and at home to Gillingham it may even happen before Tranmere. It would be a real shame to lose him. The treatment of Slade by some fans (especially on here as the crowd at matches are still generally supportive) shows just how fickle some people are. The endless threads about Slade should go, even after a reserve team lost a meaningless JPT game on Tuesday, were embarassing.

I can't make my mind up about Slade but I'm pretty sure of one thing, we don't have the players in the squad to make a real difference in this league and we won't have them next season either if money is not available to spend on bringing some real class to the side and paying the kind of wages that players who can live in the Championship expect. I'm not saying that we should get ourselves in debt or make this club any more financially unviable than it already is but the fact remains that, regardless of the quality or otherwise of our manager, the players are distinctly average at best.

Disagree re: our players. The team arent playing that well together at the moment but the individual signings we have made look quality to me.
