I think Gus should keep his mouth shut re transfer activity.

What about an option 3?..."We have a few irons in the fire and we are working on them".........it's the fact he goes on about "gem" signings and "the Vicente deal is 99% done" and the "two players by the weekend" etc etc etc.....I think that's what people get the hump about.

But everything he said last season came to fruition - he did break the transfer record twice when he said he would, and he did sign a special player which he went on about for ages...

So this season, he has got the timing out slightly, but we have no reason to believe that we won't get the Left Back, Midfielder and Striker he wants, and that one or maybe more are a "gem" of a signing...

You have to remember something else, Bloom himself said that the names we were tracking were very very exciting - should he shut his mouth too?

Perhaps 'people' ought to get a life.

If there state of enjoyment in life is determined by an externality such as an Uruguayan football manager's opinion on transfer progress they need professional help.

Must say i was expecting a few signings on top of the goalie by now,very quiet considering all other clubs are on over drive signing players.On topic,gus just needs to state targets are being sought and leave it at that:)

Other clubs on "Overdrive" with signings... who exactly? Apart from Blackburn...

Oh wind your neck in. I am not overly bothered when signings come as I know they will however Gus does sometimes say too much. I am not hanging on his every word at all.

I guess it's my opinion but I do not feel the need to be rude when replying so I guess you are loving the sound of your own voice/opinion.

It's a discussion board, why have you piped up with the need to be bloody rude.

:clap::clap::clap:

That made me laugh quite alot, i suppose i would love to see TLO and a very long neck slowly winding it in.

Some people - the impatient ones - might decide get the hump.

The rest of us wait until negotiations have run their course, the player in question stops fannying about, signs on the dotted line, and an announcement is made. If it's a signing which was once looking good but then that doesn't come off - whoop-di-doo - that's the way the cookie crumbles. That's the way it's always worked before and always will from here on in.

Absolutely no value in getting the hump.
