If anyone fancies us at 18s to win lg or 11/2 for promotion you really should take advantage of one of the free bet offers. There are some (like Laddys) where you can make it pretty much completely risk free - and get a free 350 bet. IE the qualifying bet can be any odds so put £50 on something 500/1 on and withdraw your own £50 when it wins then use the £50 free bet to back us - simple and easy.

You will only get £25 ish from the free bet tho as you won't get stake back! Still better than nowt :)

nice one. That boylesports offer is very good. I like the bet365 bet £200 get £200. You have to turn over the free £200 about five times if memory serves but i think it can be at any odds.

I backed us at 18s (1/4 the odss 1/2/3) the other day, as I suspect those odds are likely to come in rather than go out with any further signings. Some bookies have us at 12s anyway.

Looking at the OTHER END of the likely table, what about Palace to go down at 3-1?

I am torn on this one. Part of me wants to back others down there for the drop, so even if they stay up at least I get some dosh. But the double whammy of Palace going down AND some cash is certainly a tempter.

Sure you've worked this out, but for anyone else thinking of doing this, you did that the wrong way round.

If you put the £50 on Feds to win and used the free bet on Brighton, you would have got £75 back today. Now you've got to hope Brighton do it to get your stake back.

i'm not so sure - most free bets "expire" after a short period ie boylesports, free bet expires after 30 days - therefore betting on the albion for the free bet would have been wasted as that's not settled until the end of the season - or am i getting that wrong?

would have thought you just have top place it within a month. I used a free bet on Crawley to win the conference a few years back and it worked fine.

Posted by fan on Huddersfield fans forum: I'm gonna have you in my patent, I do fancy you guys as a bit of a dark horse. Anyone interested in betting should take note of Brighton HA for the forthcoming season.

I stuck £100 on us to get promoted @ 11/2, which I suspect will just about cover the increase in cost for my 2 season tickets in the Premier League.

I f***ing hope they don't go up £250+ each if we did go up!
