How much do you spend weekly on food ?

Average of about £150 a week for the four of us. I'd say this has gone up about £25/30 a week in last year or two through price rises as we don't buy much different from then to now.

About £40 for the two of us. When i was made redundant we had to cut it down from 60-80 a week and looking to make it cheaper still as money is tight.

Specifically food - we average about £40 a week for two of us.

We don't eat £40 worth - things like herbs, condiments and spices last a lot longer than that.

Same here, just for the two of us, but includes other stuff like loo paper, machine washing glop, and other periodic cleaning and drinking top-up stuff.

Before I left in 2005 my weekly shop for 5 people was between 150 and 180 pounds a week.
When I arrived here my weekly shop was about $220, about 110 a week in pounds at that time.
My weekly shop now for relatively the same items is between $450 and $500 a week for 5 adults now as the kids have grown, which equates to about 330 pounds at the current rates, this includes all food, toiletries and stuff for lunch boxes.
The average shopping bill in Perth and WA has risen by at least 60% over the last 2 years, no one warned me about that.
