They are well nice.

In fact I am at the height of fashion, as shown by today's clothes; Those jeans, red converse, blue polo shirt and a grey cardigan

A decent pair of jeans can last a few years, so it's not too much to pay fifty quid or so. People who pay upwards of a ton usually do so for styles which will be out of fashion in under a year, so it's a bit gay if you ask me.
